Wheel-thrown porcelain, approx. 47 cm high, 7cm diameter

A diagonal net of trailed line wraps the full height of the cylinder, opening into small four-petal motifs where the strands cross. The ash glaze sits matte and granular — a sandy, opaque skin shading from cream at the rim to deeper buff below — while the teal runs glassy and translucent over the raised lines, pooling bright at the crossings. The contrast is as much about surface as colour: a rough, light-absorbing ground against a wet, light-catching line.

Hand-decorated; the teal lines are trailed in glaze and stand slightly raised against a sandy ash glaze made with locally sourced wood ash.
