One-off piece, from a series of five
Wheel-thrown porcelain, approx. 38cm high.

Circles rise and overlap across the form, each a lens opening where two meet, evoking small four-petal motifs at the crossings. The ash glaze sits matte and granular, a sandy, opaque skin shading from cream at the rim to deep amber below, while the teal runs glassy and translucent over the lines, gathering bright where they cross: as much a contrast of surface as of colour, a light-absorbing ground against a light-catching line.

Hand-decorated; the teal lines are trailed in glaze and stand against a sandy ash glaze made with locally sourced wood ash.
